I dreamt of Hugo again last night. He was having coffee in a Manhattan sidewalk coffee house with a tornado swirling steadfast behind. At first he didn't know it was there until he slowly turned-- just as it began to attack. Hugo stood in awe as the tornado built up propensity with its approach. He smiled.

He backed up slowly, keeping his eye on the twister. Its unfailing speed caused Hugo to turn his back and run. He didn't scream or attempt help from anyone in the street. He silently tried to outrun and outmaneuver the storm, but it was too fast. It started to rain and I woke.

My morning thoughts were filled with Hugo. I could feel him near me, but it brought no comfort-- only eerie worry. Where did this dream come from? And then I remembered.

The morning before, John, with a cigarette in mouth and black coffee in hand, told me know the production office had access to the internet. "Just ask Sandy." He directed me, "She'll let you on."

I waited for Sandy's answer. She was straight, skinny, and sad. Of course, with her being privy to the fact that I went to Helen's party, she said, "Yeah sure, why not." She set me up on the computer usually allotted to the Producer.

I knew Hugo liked to play around in some particular chat rooms at this one site, but I didn't know for sure where he'd be. First, I tried rooms that I had no idea what they meant, like CD'sTV's4f. I thought maybe it meant CD's and televisions for sale, but this is what I found....

FranOOO Hello. what is this room?

Cutey321 hello Fran. what are you looking for?

FranOOO A friend.

Then Cutey321 IM'd me and a soft bing echoed.

I can be a real good friend.

What is CD'sTV's?

M or F & how old?

Why?

It's standard practice.

F27. Who are you?

This room is for cross dressers & transvestites looking for women.

Interested?

Oh my! No, I don't think so, but I appreciate the offer.

I mean, I didn't want to make her/him feel bad. I continued.

Listen Cutey, any ideas where I could find a missing friend?

No, but do you have a social security number?

Good idea! I could probably get it.

Got to go....he/she typed I'm not rich enough to just chat away. I need to

find a real possibility for a connection. Good-bye and Good luck.

You too.

Cutey had a good idea, but how to get Hugo's social and then what to do

with it???????????

I looked in another room. MluveM. Hugo definitely loved men.

Hello, looking for Hugo. I knew this was pointless, but at least I was doing something. I got no answer. I chewed on my finger and waited somemore.

Hugo here.

Hugo who?

I'm the only Hugo I know. Got any GIFS?

I don't know what that is.

Would you like to know? And get very excited at the same time?

My curiosity was too grand. Sure.

Just wait. When you get my mail, just download and print.

I waited. Finally, you have mail.

I hit mail to be read, download, print. I looked around for a printer in the producer's office and saw none. The computer processed and I went to ask Sandy about the printer.

"Oh, it's Apple share. We're all on one printer. She pointed to the corner where the entire office converged by the water cooler and coffee pot. My heart raced not knowing what the hell this unknown entity would be sending me. I ran back to the computer. "Oh my God!" On the screen was a picture of two overbuilt men with frolicking penises. I pressed and pressed command period, command period-- but it was too late. The printer had already read, processed, and was now printing.

I heard gossiping voices in the outside hallway suddenly turn to shocked responses and laughter. I peaked from the doorway. They all stared and I waved.

Now I've always prided myself on not giving a damn about what other people think about me. I walked over, grabbed my printed homosexual encounter from some PA, and with my head held high, I left. What they thought of me now? Only God knew.
