They came to the set, the flowers. All sizes of pink, red, and yellow spring blossoms filled the glass vase with the green bow. "Well, do you have a name on your delivery chart or anything?"

"Nope." The eighteen year old flower delivery boy good have gave a shit about my flowers, but there was no card. I saw Helen peaking around from the craft service table. It was her. Helen sent me flowers. How cool!

I walked up to her. "Great flowers, huh?" I said.

"Yeah, they're pretty nice." She shrugged.

"Mind if I put them in your trailer?"

She looked perplexed but said, "Go ahead." And she followed me. "Who they from?" She asked, once inside.

"I guess an admirer."

"Whatever." Now she was pissed.

"You sent them, didn't you?"

She said sarcastically, "No Fran, I didn't send you any flowers."

My heart sunk. I wanted to puke. "I'm so embarrassed. I'm so sorry."

"You know what I used to do?" She sat and smirked as I picked the flowers back up from the kitchen table and headed towards the door.

"What?"

"I use to send myself flowers." She looked at me without a blink. She was determined to know if I pulled the same stunt.

"Yeah, and you think that's what I did? That I sent the flowers to myself to make you jealous?"

"Yeah, that's what I think you did."

"Did it work? Are you jealous?"

"Yes. It worked."

"Well, I got to tell you I didn't send them. I don't know who they're from." I smirked back.

She nodded, "All right then."

I left with my flowers. Who had sent them?

I checked my messages. Christine called. "Did you get my flowers? I'm thinking of you. Call me."

My first thought was "I love Christine." There's a pull. When she calls I run, no denying. And I did, I called.

I couldn't wait to hear her voice so I called from the stage.

"...they're beautiful. And they came right to the set." My excitement was obvious. "I want to see you." I said, facing the wall so no one could hear me or see my expressions.

"Good. I want to see you, too."

"Christine, thank you so much for the flowers. They really meant a lot and you mean a lot. I hope you know that."

"Yeah. You too."

"I should go ïcause there's a whole bunch more things I'd like to say, but I can't on the phone." I turned back around and Helen was standing right behind me. Our eyes met, she smiled, and walked off. She heard every word.

"Shit!"

"What?" Christine asked.

"Nothing. Let me call you at home tonight."

Helen didn't speak to me all day. I think she thought I had been teasing her. I wasn't, but I did want to see Christine. At least just talk to her. Maybe nothing would come of it, but maybe something would.
