With Hugo's sudden disappearance and an arson fire that destroys Mocha Daze, we realize Steve set the fire with his fiancee Barbra for insurance money (6/6/96, 6/8/96). This man-you-love-to-hate, a bi-sexual (6/10/96, 6/16/96), has sex with Barbra's son (6/12/96), lies to Fran (6/22/96), lies to his fiancee (6/24/96), and plots a course of terror and destruction (6/26/96, 6/28/96).
Fran interviews for a new job and is asked a very personal question (6/1/96) which, ironically, lands her the job (6/5/96). Distraught over Hugo's disppearance, she banters with Steve (6/3/96) but soon finds herself too busy at her new job to follow through (6/7/96). Helen, the TV star, is an apparent lesbian (6/13/96) and Fran attempts to hide her school girl crush (5/15/96, 6/17/96). Mustering her courage, Fran finally asks this mega star on a date (6/23/96), with mixed results (6/27/96). Missing Greg, Fran confronts him at his clinic, only to learn there's nothing she can do (6/25/96).
July brings fireworks exploding and romance crackling as the Gay Daze crew sorts through the haze of their neverending daze.
