Fran hung up on me.

"I'm too busy, I can't talk right now," she said just before she slammed down the phone.

Greg

Steve and I had just finished making love. "I don't see what your problem is."

"Fran and Hugo are my best friends," I said resting my head on his shoulder.

"If they don't want to see you then that's their loss."

"I miss them."

Steve pushed me off. "Fine. You miss them so much, go see them."

"What did I do?"

"They aren't whining about not seeing you, are they?"

"I don't know?"

"They're not. They're slamming the phone down on you and laughing about it."

"But..."

"But nothing," He said, kissing my ear. "Look, you're with somebody who cares about you for the first time and they don't like it. They want you to be as miserable as them. I don't understand why you didn't hang up on her."

"What do you mean?"

"I saw her at Mocha Daze with you. I saw all of your so called 'friends' with you. All they did was make fun of you, call you stupid and make you the butt of their jokes."

I sat there stunned.

"I was there that time you and Hugo went to that 'Black and White' ball. How you thought it was to promote racial harmony when in fact 'Black and White' just means formal attire. Remember that?"

"Yes."

"How they all howled at you."

"What?"

"Oh, they spent hours ridiculing you. 'Greg the gym-head is so stupid that when someone calls him a dumbbell he takes it as a compliment.'"

"They said that?"

"Yes," said Steve. "Be thankful I'm here to take you away from all that."

I started to kiss his chest and lick his nipple.

He started to moan in pleasure.

I felt myself getting hard as he climbed on top of me.

"I can't believe that they really said that." I said.

He rolled me on my stomach and put his face next to my ear. "If you're not going to act like a man, then I donāt want to see your face."
