I made a mental note to go back to the gym and finally Andrew stepped in to take the damn thing off my hands.
"Surprise!"
"Hugo...You shouldn't have!" he said, a big grin spreading over his face.

"I'm glad you realize that. Do you know how much these things cost?" I gave him a hug and held him next to me for a moment. I felt his hand pat on my back, almost as he was comforting a baby. "I'm glad you're in the neighborhood. We don't see enough of you 'round here."
"I'll stop by for coffee every morning."
"You'd better! Buy some bagels so I can make a down payment on your gift."
Bills! Bills! Bills!
While I'm making enough money to cover what's coming in, what with the extra money from the column and the emcee jobs, I'm still cash poor and that troubles me a little.
I can barely balance my checkbook. Charley was always the business man. I re-modeled Mocha Daze because that was what he wanted. I will do anything I have to to keep it afloat--the shop is so much a part of me and Charley that Iāll just tighten my belt more if I have to.
Keep thinking positive thoughts. Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts.
One Day at a Time.
Later that evening, Eric stuck his head in.
"Hey, Hugo!" he said.
"Come on in and have a cocoa or something, Mr. Doctor. Are you hungry? I can heat up a bagel for you..."
"Sorry, I can't. I don't have time. Been a crappy day. I just wanted to say hi! I'm going to go home and go to sleep."
He waved and was out the door.
