Warm, quiet, quiet blankets of snow. Snow is what I miss more than anything. We didn't have a lot when we were kids in Atlanta -- but the years at college, my years in New York...There is no such thing on earth like a white Christmas -- the dream is so real, I can see it. I can see the snow falling, I can hear children laughing, sledding, sliding. Iām rolling down a bank of white... And then I hear a big, fat snowball as it smashes on the window and falls.

I open my eyes....

It's Christmas morning - and it's snowing! In L.A. It's snowing! No! It can't be, I must be dreaming! I sit up and look outside. My God, there's snow all over the back yard!

I throw open the window. "Eric! It's snowing!"

"Really? I hadnāt noticed," he replies, as he lofts a snowball in my face.

I look to the side yard and a huge volcano of snow is flying up in the air and landing all over the back yard. Heās hired a snow machine!

"Eric! What did you do?"

"You asked for a white Christmas. I gave Santa Claus your message."

He sludges over and kisses me hard on the mouth, his face covered in the beautiful, white, pure white snow. This man, this man Eric Lewis -- gave me a white Christmas. Just because I asked...

"I love you, Eric Lewis."

"I love you Andrew McKinley -- now get your butt out here. Merry Christmas! Ho Ho Ho...."

I leap through the window, still in my boxers and t-shirt. It's freezing under my feet, freezing and fabulous. Instantly, the girls from next door attack me with snowballs, I push Eric in front of me as a shield -- bam bam. He takes the worst of the onslaught! Now, look out, here I come!
